Inspiration
Inspiration surrounds us and emerges from within us. For me, being aware of what's happening around me and within me leads to new insights, new ideas, and new creations. Here are a few things that have inspired me lately.
Children's Picture Book
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
This classic children's story by Eric Carle is 50 years old! The number 50 is also important because almost 50 million copies have been sold of this book. What a treasure!

Visual Arts
Pottery
I recently attended the national convention of NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) where I was visually inspired by all the creativity.

Music
Vice Movie Soundtrack
"He Wants to Impress His Father"
Although I never saw the movie, this song from the movie soundtrack fills my soul. I love the bassoon, the lovely melody, and those wonderful harmonies.

TV
A Place to Call Home
This gripping TV series about a woman trying to heal her wounded soul in Australia during the 1950s captured my attention and held onto it tight, particularly during season 1.

Book
Everything You Want Me to Be
The twists and turns in this book surprised me, and the three main viewpoints that weaved in and out of the story intrigued me over and over.
